Alpinestars: Silverstone MotoGP (Video)

Silverstone MotoGP Video

The Silverstone Round (6) of the 2011 MotoGP Championship may have been a month ago, but the images of it will remain forever, including this montage of the fans/action from Englishman Jamie Robinson on behalf of Alpinestars.

The MotoGP race, which was won by Repsol Honda’s Casey Stoner, occurred under very wet conditions at the MotoGP circuit. Stoner was joined on the podium by teammate Andrea Dovizioso and America’s Colin Edwards (Monster Tech 3 Yamaha).

From Alpinestars: "Englishman Jamie Robinson returned to his home country to attend the British Motorcycle Grand Prix at the high speed Silverstone circuit and capture the MotoGP Championship action.

"With a brand new pit and paddock complex, the ‘Silverstone Wing’ and a large crowd over the race weekend all looked bright and beautiful, but in typical British fashion the weather had other ideas for raceway and blew over dark clouds which dumped non-stop rain all day long.

"However this couldn’t stop the hardcore British motorcycle fans from watching their heroes race on the edge in the pouring rain while the MotoGP riders splashed through the puddles at an incredible pace and provided some thrilling on track action."
