2011 AMA Endurocross
The GEICO EnduroCross team is thrilled about the opportunity to showcase this very exciting sport during X Games 17 at the Staples Center. Schaefer Tracks, the official EnduroCross track builders, will construct a very technical track that will challenge the best Off Road motorcycle riders in the world.
As is common for an EnduroCross track, it will feature rocks, logs, sand, a pool, tractor tires and loose logs that all contribute to nonstop action and unpredictable racing.Eric Peronnard (Creator of EnduroCross) says: "The X Games fans will be in for a real treat just watching the riders negotiate the obstacles and seeing them race head to head over those obstacles is often mind blowing. As the water starts to get spread out onto the logs and rocks, it becomes almost impossible to maintain any consistency." All of this action will be captured by ESPN cameras for the first time ever as part of the X Games, which will only add to the desire to win for the riders. Make sure you get your tickets or plan to watch the event live on ESPN on Sunday, July 31, 2011. Tickets for X Games 17 will be available for purchase June 23 at all Ticketmaster locations and the box office at STAPLES Center. 2011 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Schedule
