There’s no doubt that Jason DiSalvo will be a main competitor this year in AMA Daytona Sportbike.
The Latus Motors Ducati 848 rider has already won the Daytona 200, and set the fastest lap time around Miller Motorsports Park on Day 2 of the officicial AMA Pro Racing test at the Salt Lake City circuit earlier this week.
Attached is a few clips from the Miller test, showing DiSalvo and RSRacecraft dial in the Ducati 848EVO.
The AMA says 22 Daytona SportBike riders rolled out on track for the Monday-Tuesday sessions, with Celtic Racing/Fast by Ferracci Ducati’s PJ Jacobsen taking over the scoreboard early and topping five of eight sessions, with only DiSalvo and M4 Suzuki rider Dane Westby able to wrest the top spot away.
But DiSalvo’s seventh-session lap was good for quickest overall, and with Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Josh Herrin consistently hunting the front-runners, Herrin’s third-quickest overall time came as no surprise.
