AMA: Bostrom Tests Kawasaki ZX-10R

AMA Pro Racing

Sources tell UltimateMotorcycling.com that four-time AMA national champion Eric Bostrom and J.D. Beach have been testing at Buttonwillow Raceway and Chuckwalla Valley Raceway for the opening round of the 2011 AMA Pro Road Racing season at the Daytona International Speedway, March 10-12.

Bostrom will ride the all-new 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R in American SuperBike and the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R in the 57-lap Daytona 200, which will be run under Daytona SportBike rules.

Beach will also be riding in the Daytona 200. The two competitors ride for Team Cycle World Attack Performance.

JD Beach says: "Testing was really good for me. We made a lot of improvements to the bike. When we get out there for the first practice at Daytona, we’ll be ready to go."

Eric Bostrom says: "The Kawasaki keeps getting better and better the more testing we do," according to Bostrom. "We’re finding a way to get the most out of the new ZX-10R, and I’m really happy where we ended up. Now, it’s time to put the faceshield down, look for the green light and go for it."

Matthew Miles (Cycle World Managing Editor) says: "We’re pleased that we are able to help bring the technologically advanced ZX-10R and award-winning ZX-6R to the racetrack and for the opportunity to work with two talented athletes like Eric Bostrom and J.D. Beach."
