The Honda Gold Wing has become the flagship motorcycle for riders serious about touring, whether solo or two-up. The bike provides comfort and all all the amenities needed for long-distance motorcycle touring.

But for 2012, Honda wanted to create an even finer Gold Wing GL1800, with many upgrades to the technical aspects. But don’t think Honda only upgraded technical gadgets on the GL1800, such as the GPS navigation system – the motor and drivetrain have been also been majorly refined for 2012.

This YouTube video explains the highlights of these refinements to the 2012 Honda GoldWing’s fuel-injected 1832cc six-cylinder engine, with words from some of the engineers that helped create the GL1800 designed for grand touring.
