Jordan Suzuki: Hayden at Daytona Test

2011 AMA Superbike

Last week, many AMA Pro Racing teams conducted some tire testing at the newly-paved Daytona circuit. This test allowed newly signed riders Roger Lee Hayden and Ben Bostrom to put some additional laps on the Michael Jordan Motorsports Suzuki before the AMA Superbike season begins at Daytona March 11-12.

This YouTube video shows Roger Lee Hayden on the Michael Jordan Motorsports (MJM) National Guard #54 Suzuki GSX-R1000 at the high banks of Daytona.

The 27-year-old Kentuckian finished 19th this year in the World Superbike Championship after struggling with the ZX-10R all season. He had much better luck in AMA Pro Racing, taking the 2007 AMA SuperSport Championship; that same year he finished eight in the AMA Superbike Championship.

Roger is the youngest brother of 2006 MotoGP Champion Nicky Hayden and Rockstar Makita Suzuki rider Tommy Hayden, who finished second overall this year behind AMA Superbike winner Josh Hayes.

Hayden’s teammate, Bostrom, the 2009 Daytona 200 winner and 2008 AMA SuperSport Champion, was also at the Daytona test with Roger. Bostrom will compete on the #23 Jordan Suzuki GSX-R 1000.
