AMA Supercross Kickoff Party: OC Grill

Carlsbad USGP Showing

With the 2011 Monster Energy Supercross season getting ready kickoff in Anaheim, industry folks are getting together to host a party at the OC Sports Grill for 500 fans and friends.

The highlight of the evening will be a special screening of Pipeline Digital Media’s "The Carlsbad USGP:1980" film which has been lauded as one of the best motorcycle documentaries ever produced.

The Supercross Kickoff party will take place Thursday, Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. and run until about 10:30 p.m. at the OC Sports Grill across the street from Anaheim Stadium. "The Carlsbad USGP:1980" movie will begin at 8 p.m.

Todd Huffman (Producer at Pipeline Digital Media) says: "We figured there would be a lot of people in town for the first supercross event looking for something to do and this seemed like a good idea. It will be great to see everyone and show some new people the Carlsbad USGP film."

The Supcross Kickoff event is made possible to the generous help from Racer X Illustrated,,, OC Sports Grill,, Malcolm Smith Motorsports, JT Racing USA, Vintage Iron, Moto Armory, Troy Lee Designs, Renthal, Vance & Hines, Bel-Ray, and Pipeline Digital Media.

Scott Wallenberg (Publisher of Racer X Illustrated) says: "Racer X enjoys being involved in events like this and it’s great that so many other companies wanted to help put on something fun for the fans."

VIP attendees will enjoy an acoustic blues guitar set featuring Wallenberg, sideman Scott Cox and other guest musicians. "You never know who’s gonna appear with us but it’ll be a fun night for sure," Wallenberg adds.

The party will be open to the first 250 guests when the event begins and everyone must have a wristband.

If sponsors do not use all of their wristbands, more of the public will be allowed in. Everyone in attendance will get a free commemorative Carlsbad USGP 1980 replica program, and DVD’s will be available for sale. Attendees will be responsible for their own food and beverage.
