AMA Supercross News

Feld Motor Sports recently announced that Huntington Beach, Calif., based action sports company DC Shoes inked a three-year to deal as the official and exclusive footwear sponsor of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, which begins Jan. 8, 2011 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif.

For more than 10 years DC has supported some of the greatest motocross legends of all time including AMA Supercross class champions Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael and Jeff Emig. The new partnership between DC and Monster Energy Supercross is the action sport footwear and apparel company’s first sponsorship of the championship.

Anton Nistl (DC Shoes President) says: "We’re excited to be a part the most influential series in motocross through this new partnership.DC has a long history in the motocross industry and we’re committed to supporting its continued growth through this event and through our athletes and innovative products."

"This consumer is one of the most loyal and enthusiastic in all of action sports and we’re looking forward to interacting with them at this new level. "

Dave Prater (Director of Supercross) says: "DC is a premier action sports brand and has been a long-standing supporter of the industry, and we are excited to bring them on board for the 2011 season."

"They back some of the sport’s top athletes, so their continued support strongly compliments their standing as a worldwide forerunner in action sports footwear and apparel."

Look for DC to have a strong on-site presence at the live events with a unique interactive brand experience in the pits that will highlight its elite motocross team and heritage in the sport.

Already in the works are exclusive co-branded DC and Monster Energy Supercross products, which will be marketed and sold at select DC retailers and on-site at the series’ events beginning next Supercross season.
