2011 Harley Night Rod Special | Preview

Styled for performance-minded Harley-Davidson enthusiasts who like a blacked-out, no-hassle ride, the 2011 Harley Night Rod Special model takes the VRSC motorcycle family on a trip down a dark alley.

For 2011 the bike features black wheels, black frame, black fork lowers, triple clamps, swingarm, racing stripes on the airbox cover and a color-matched speed screen visor.

In addition to new graphics, the ’11 Night Rod Special motorcycle also features a Security Package option that includes the factory-installed Harley-Davidson Smart Security System with hands-free fob and the Harley Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).

What makes it a true member of the V-Rod motorcycle family are things like the aggressive, drag-inspired riding position and the Revolution engine, the only liquid-cooled engine platform available from the legendary Motor Company.

Other Night Rod Special goodies included the high-performance Brembo triple-disc brakes, race-bred clutch with ‘slipper’ action that helps drive train backlash during downshifting and the new Michelin Scorche motorcycle tires with the same aggressive 240 mm size in the rear.

Forward-mounted footpegs and controls, two-piece, two-up textured seat and stainless steel, low-rise drag-style handlebars put you in the “ready” gunfighter position.

Black mirrors, rear shocks and controls, brushed-finish straight-shot dual exhaust with black end caps and black slotted disc-cast aluminum wheels with orange pin stripe the provide the 2011 V-Rod its “Dark” styling.

Sport front fender with black brace supports, color-matched speed screen visor, contrasting racing stripe paint scheme and round reflector-optic headlight provide the racy pro-street feel.

The 2011 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special has U.S. MSRP of $14,999.

The Motorcycle is available in Black Denim/H-D Orange Racing Stripe, Brilliant Silver Pearl / Black Racing Stripe with Ghost Flames, Chrome Yellow / Black Racing Stripe with Ghost Flames or Sedona Orange / Black Racing Stripe with Ghost Flames.
