Triumph Motorcycles: Flagship UK Dealer

Motorcycle Dealer News

Triumph Motorcycles continues to expand as it recently opened a new flagship dealership in their home country of Great Britain.

The new motorbike dealer located in Leicester was designed to the latest ‘Triumph World’ retail standards and displays the full range of Triumph motorcycles, clothing and accessories. Stratstone Triumph Leicester is a key addition to Triumph’s UK dealer network.

Motorcyclists were invited to the grand opening of Stratstone Triumph Leicester, which took place back in May.

Guy Masters (General Manager of Triumph UK) says: “We are delighted to be working again with Stratstone, to develop an outstanding store in a key location for us. This new store will give us the quality of premises and level of service demanded by our customers.”

The evening was reported to be packed full of activities including the official opening of the store by Digby, Lord Jones of Birmingham and Triumph’s chairman, a Q & A with key Triumph factory staff and an appearance by riders from the MAP Centurion Triumph Race Team.

The dealership gave away some great Triumph apparel and VIP tickets to a round of the MCE British Superbike Championship.

Despite the recession that has greatly impacted the motorcycle market, Triumph delivered record UK sales in 2009. The development of Triumph’s dealer network is a reflection of the brand’s continued growth.

The iconic brand increased domestic motorcycle sales by 26%, overtaking Kawasaki to be the fourth largest (non scooter) bike brand in the UK.

This trend of market share growth has been mirrored around the world, maintaining the marque’s position as one of the world’s fastest growing motorcycle brands.

Stratstone Triumph Leicester is the second Triumph dealership to be opened by Pendragon, the largest the largest independent operator of 118 franchised car dealerships and seven motorcycle dealers in the UK.

Trevor Finn (CEO of Pendragon PLC) says: “We are delighted to add another Triumph dealership to our expanding motorcycle portfolio. Triumph has proven to be a strong and formidable brand, whose motorcycles are unique and truly inspiring.”

Coinciding with its continued growth Triumph Motorcycles will be celebrating 20 years since the successful re-launch of this iconic brand on September 18th, 2010 with Triumph LIVE, an action-packed festival at Mallory Park race circuit in Leicestershire.
