Competitors from AMA Pro Motorcycle Road Racing, some of the most daring and talented riders in the world, will make Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course their home this weekend, July 16-18, for the Honda Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tire.
Names like local fan favorite Larry Pegram, Tommy Hayden, Jake Zemke and Josh Hayes will make their way to Lexington for the multifaceted event which will feature four classes of riders including National Guard SuperBike, Daytona SportBike presented by AMSOIL, SuperSport and the new Vance & Hines XR1200 Series.
Thrilling last-lap passes and frequent side-by-side competition led many to call last year’s featured Wiseco SuperBike doubleheader as some of the best racing in decades.
The competition starts with practice and qualification rounds on Friday. The first of two SuperSport races will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. local time, followed by a Daytona SportBike race at 2 p.m. and the first leg of the Wiseco SuperBike 100 doubleheader at 3:15 p.m.
Sunday’s track schedule is similar, starting with the second SuperSport race at 12:30 p.m, the second Daytona SportBike race at 1:30 p.m. and the final leg of the Wiseco SuperBike 100 Doubleheader at 2:45 p.m. The weekend rounds out competition with the XR1200 race at 3:45 p.m.
Tommy Hayden currently sits on top of the points standings in American SuperBike with 229 points. Josh Hayes, who swept both Wiseco SuperBike 100 events last year, sits in second, a single point behind Hayden. Jake Zemke has 215 points, which places him third overall, 14 points behind the leader.
Josh Herrin leads 2009 Mid-Ohio winner and Daytona SportBike class champion Danny Eslick by 18 points heading into the Honda Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tire.
Off the track, fans will get a chance to meet their favorite riders up close during the autograph session at 10:50 a.m. on Sunday.
In addition, fans with a paddock pass will also get the unique opportunity to participate in a grid walk featuring teams and riders from all classes before the SuperSport races at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Fans may also sign up to ride their bike on track during lunch on Sunday by participating in the annual Dealer Ride. Fans can register for the Dealer Ride at the infield tent on Sunday morning prior to 9:30 a.m.

A comprehensive motorsports facility, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course features a permanent road-racing circuit with two primary configurations: a 2.4-mile, 15-turn, and a 2.25-mile, 13-turn circuit. The park-like, 330-acre complex is located in Lexington, Ohio, near Mansfield, 60 miles north of Columbus and 75 miles south of Cleveland.
