Motocross News

Right before the USA Grand Prix kicks off at Glen Helen Raceway, Malcolm Smith Motorsports hosted the 2010 United States Grand Prix Fan Experience yesterday.

Local fans were offered the chance to meet up with the top Grand Prix racers as the day finished with a pre event press conference where riders shared their thoughts with the media on this exciting race.

The top GP riders joined by the top USA wild card riders got busy in signing autographs at Malcolm Smith Motorsports where fans came in crowds to celebrate this eagerly awaited comeback of the FIM Motocross World Championship to the United States.

The event ended with a press conference where riders shared their thoughts with the media on this Grand Prix, representing the comeback of the FIM Motocross World Championship to the United States after an 11 year absence – the last USA GP took place in Budds Creek in 1999 while Glen Helen last hosted a GP in 1992.

Among the riders attending were MX1 and MX2 series leader Tony Cairoli and Marvin Musquin, Ken Roczen, Josh Coppins, Sebastien Pourcel, Ben Townley, Mike Alessi, Gautier Paulin, Zach Osborne, Jeremy Van Horebeek.

The riders were joined later by MX Legend Broc Glover. Glen Helen Raceway President Bud Feldkamp and Malcolm Smith himself also spoke at the press conference.

Malcolm Smith Motorsports is one of America’s largest motorsports dealerships. Being run by Mr. Smith himself, a passionate fan of motorsports, it won DealerNews’ 2009 "Dealer of the Year" award.

Having been a racer himself, Mr. Smith puts it this way: "Racing made me famous. Customer service made me successful".
