Silverstone has secured the Red Bull Pro Nationals motocross championships, the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams and trials legend Dougie Lampkin as part of its world-class entertainment package for the MotoGP 2010 AirAsia British Grand Prix on 18-20 June.
Billed as one of the most dynamic motocross series in Europe, Silverstone will host the fourth round of the 2010 Red Bull Pro Nationals on a specially designed track. Four races, along with practice and qualifying sessions will provide plenty of off-road action when Valentino Rossi and co. aren’t tackling Silverstone’s new 3.666 mile Grand Prix Circuit.
What’s more, the Red Bull X-Fighters will be performing six spectacular ‘X-Jam’ freestyle motocross shows during the MotoGP weekend. The London show of the X-Fighters 2009 World Tour sold out in just two hours, and with a number of the world’s leading FMX riders set to feature at Silverstone, their high-flying acrobatic displays are guaranteed to be just as popular.
The Silverstone crowd will also be wowed by stunt shows from the legendary Dougie Lampkin MBE. The 12-time Trials World Champion is renowned for his spellbinding skills and tricks on two wheels and the fans’ favourite will be making a number of appearances, performing various routines in different locations around the venue.
A Red Bull mobile DJ will also keep fans entertained throughout the weekend.
Richard Phillips (Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits Limited) says: "We promised MotoGP fans a better experience at Silverstone and that is exactly what we are delivering. On top of a multi-million pound investment into an exciting new circuit and improved viewing facilities, Silverstone and Red Bull are providing a world class line-up of entertainment to run alongside the spectacular MotoGP action. Access to all of the entertainment is free to MotoGP ticket holders. Silverstone’s round of MotoGP will be a phenomenal event, at affordable prices."
Access to the motocross races, Red Bull X-Fighters Jams shows and Dougie Lampkin displays is free to anyone purchasing a ticket for the 2010 AirAsia British Grand Prix (MotoGP).
