Moto Guzzi Stelvio ABS… ‘Real-Time’

Weekly Podcast

The Daytona Bike Week festivities are coming to a close and our resident blockhead ‘Real-Time’ road tester has "been there and done that". Our favorite Ultimate MotorCycling editor called us on his ride back to California and tells us all about the new 2010 Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 ABS.

This week on the Motorcycle Radio Network, Bill and Todd are back in the Motorcycle Radio Garage studios to discuss the Tool of the Week, Powersports News and check with Ultimate MotorCycling’s online guy as he heads back to California from Daytona Bike Week aboard the new Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 ABS.

Yes, you read it right. Our test rider switched horses in midstream. He met Todd in Daytona riding an unfaired American cruiser and shivering in damp blue jeans, but skipped out from lunch less than a half hour later on a new adventure tourer with a fairing and windshield wearing a brand new set of riding gear. Minutes later an all black box truck pulled up, rolled his previous tester inside and disappeared off into the distance. It looked like something out of James Bond, except Todd got stuck with the check…

Not only is our ‘Real-Time’ road tester digging the versatility of this Italian adventure tourer, but he’s toasty warm and protected from anything Mother Nature can throw at him wearing Joe Rocket’s terrific new Survivor suit and RKT Hybrid helmet. Don’t take our word for it though… Listen to our ‘Real-Time’ podcast while riding the Stelvio clad in the new Joe Rocket Survivor Suit.

Also in the news this week, Vance & Hines has announced a great new AMA Pro Racing series just for the Harley-Davidson XR1200. Minimal entry costs, spec tires and bikes, and a short 5-race series all add up to what will undoubtedly be some of the greatest battles forged on a roadracing course this year. Get the entire 411 on the new Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson XR1200 series here at Ultimate MotorCycling.com.

We’ll catch you next week here on the Motorcycle Radio Network.
