Moriwaki Moto2 bike tests at Valencia

The first test with the complete Moriwaki Moto2 bike for the 2010 season finished yesterday for Tom Lüthi and the Interwetten Moriwaki team at Valencia, Spain.

It was the first opportunity for the Swiss rider to test the Moriwaki machine with the Honda engine that will be used during this inaugural Moto2 season. After two days of reasonable weather, day three was wet, with Luthi opting to stay in the garage, having posting the seventh fastest time of the test.

Tom Luthi Speaks… Moto2

"We are quite satisfied with this test", Lüthi said. "Valencia is not my favorite track and seventh position is not bad. We were able to test many things on our schedule at Valencia, even losing a day. But we still have a lot of work to do."

Lüthi´s lap times were constantly in the top 10 at this first official IRTA test and, thanks to the good weather over the first two days, the Interwetten team went through a number of different options.

Terrell Thien, team manager was satisfied with the work of his crew. "It went very well and I cannot complain about the results and the work we did in Valencia," he said at the end of the last test day. "Of course the weather wasn’t very favourable on the third day, but we already finished a lot of things in the first two days. The team works very well together and I am happy about that."

The Interwetten Moriwaki Moto2 team heads now to Jerez de la Frontera/Spain for the next official test that will take place from 6-8 March.
