Ducati’s Hypermotard 1100 EVO (SP)

Ducati 1100 EVO & EVO SP

The 2010 Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO and EVO SP are both about 15 pounds lighter and 5 horses more powerful than last year’s Ducati Hypermotard 1100. As insiders at the Ducati 796 launch in Bologna told me, the Hypermotards are now one big happy family consisting of three members.

The 2010 Ducati Hypermotard EVO SP gets a massive new 50mm Marzocchi Supermoto racing spec fork with 30mm more travel. That 30mm extra travel has also provided 30mm more ground clearance. The Marchesini spoked wheels are also lighter than the wheels on the 1100 EVO.

Ducati has fitted the best Pirelli could muster in the Diablo Supercorsa SP. The 20mm higher handlebar position completes the essential racing upgrades. Out on the twisty roads there’s nothing more entertaining than riding the 2010 Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP. Each mile into the ride this motorcycle gets more and more enjoyable.

The 2010 Hypermotard 110 EVO SP also feature Brembo’s Monoblock brakes which just for illustration are a lot better than what comes standard on BMW’s 193hp S 1000 RR and with a lot less weight (and speed) to stop. The brakes are fantastic no less. The results of all the Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO upgrades are simply less weight, more power = more fun!
