Low-necked, raked out, and sporting 50-spoke chrome wheels, Thunder Mountain Customs kicks off the new year six months early with the 2009 Spitfire motorcycle. Named after the World War II fighter plane and powered by a rubber-mounted 73 cu in Harley-Davidson Evolution V-twin mated to a 5-speed transmission, the Spitfire is designed for riders within the 5-foot to 6-foot height range.
The Softail-style proprietary chassis, 23-inch seat height and 72-inch wheelbase work together to make the bike comfortable, stylish and manageable. Thunder Mountain is also offering a "C" version with chrome controls, chrome forged billet wheels and custom paint.
Spanning back to 1999, Thunder Mountain began production of top-of-the-line motorcycles and will produce ~1,400 bikes per year. These custom choppers appeal to motorcycle enthusiasts who want a distinctive expression of their individuality and character.
