During the 2014 Barber Vintage Festival held at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala., Triumph Motorcycles Limited in conjunction with Ace Cafe London unveiled the Thruxton Ace Cafe Special Edition.

And special edition means just that; the United States and Canadian markets will receive  only 325 of the Triumph Thruxton Ace Cafe Special Edition motorcycles  by the end of 2014.

The Triumph Thruxton Ace combines the evocative silhouette of a true Triumph classic racer, with a fabulous one-off Pure White and Jet Black paint livery reflecting Triumph’s long historical connection with the Ace Cafe.

The bike is co-branded with Ace Cafe logos adorning the side panels, tank and tail section. The Special Edition Thruxton celebrates Triumph’s association with the legendary Ace Cafe in North London.

Special features of the Ace Thruxton include:

  • Unique paint and decal scheme
  • Sculpted Oxblood custom seat
  • Detachable seat hump
  • Authentic bar end mirrors
  •

The design includes low-slung handlebars, alloy-rimmed wire wheels and dominating central racing stripe running along the tank to the sculpted custom seat to give it a competition-ready look.

Featuring the same engine as the renowned Triumph Thruxton, power is provided by Triumph’s signature parallel twin – the 865cc twin that also powers the Bonneville.

Producing peak power of 69 base horsepower and 50.9 ft/lbs of torque across a broad rev range, the Thruxton delivers its performance with an increase in edginess of the exhaust note from the classically styled chrome mufflers.

The Thruxton’s chassis is based around the Bonneville steel tube frame, 41mm KYB forks, twin KYB rear shocks, Nissin disc brakes and wire spokes on lightweight aluminum rims running the latest radial tires in combination with sporting steering geometry to give the Thruxton Ace agile cafe racer handling performance.
