2011 Moto Guzzi Motorcycle
One of the most unusual mounts in motorcycling, the Moto Guzzi Griso 8V SE is part cruiser, part upright sport bike, and all about grabbing attention.
Powered by Moto Guzzi’s beefy eight-valve version of its classic design, the massive header pipes and huge muffler speak to vast quantities of air being pushed through the system.
The countdown begins for the new, highly anticipated edition of the Guzzi World Days, the most important global event dedicated to motorcycles and the legend of the Mandello del Lario Eagle. A special edition will be held to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Moto Guzzi: three days full of love for bikes, friendship, entertainment, art and technology.
Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 GT8V
Five years have passed since I attended the original Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 launch in Mandello del Lario, Italy.
This time in the hills of Tuscany, Moto Guzzi has finally added the latest eight-valve engine to its 2011 Norge 1200, replacing the old four-valve version of the 90-degree transverse V-twin.
Moto Guzzi 1200 8V / NTX
The 2011 Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 8V and 1200 NTX both feature a new 32-liter fuel tank which allows many touring miles in one go.
I have tested the two Moto Guzzi motorcycles in Tuscany just outside Florence where some of the roads sometimes resembles light offroad.
Moto Guzzi Motorcycles
Piaggio, based in Pontedera Italy and Europe’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, unveiled a brand new white Moto Guzzi California and a Scrambler version of the V7 provided an exciting double surprise from Moto Guzzi at the Piaggio Group international dealer meeting in Monte Carlo on Jan 27, 2011.
V7 is Classic
When a company has a history that dates back over 85 years, it is natural to have a desire to monetize that rich heritage. One can easily pigeonhole the Moto Guzzi V7 Classic as a retro bike that relies on its appearance to attract sales, rather than a viable modern motorcycle in its own right.
Euro Model Review
The NTX is Moto Guzzi’s answer to BMW’s R 1200 GS Adventure, and it is well-equipped as standard. The large aluminum panniers enhance the Stelvio’s brute and menacing front view. The extra steering lights also emphasize the serious touring motives of the new Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 NTX ABS.
Semi-Retro Café Racer
In a cookie-cutter motorcycle world, there is something reassuring about the Moto Guzzi Breva 1200 Sport. Following the conventions of no other motorcycle, the Breva Sport is a semi-retro café racer that is comfortable enough to allow you to ride quite a bit farther than the next espresso dispensary, and do it with an unmistakable Italian flair.
Piaggio Group Americas, Inc., the importer of Vespa, Piaggio, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi scooters and motorcycles, has an offer that you just can’t refuse. If you’ve been tempted to join America’s rapidly growing scooter community but your plans have been on idle because you’re not sure whether you were born to ride, the time to discover your inner scooteristi is right now.
Adventure Motorcycle Comparision
There is something redundant about the term "adventure bike". In my experience, all motorcycles and all my rides are adventures of one sort or another. Whether it is the call of the wide-open highway, a serpentine canyon road, or a commute through town to work, every excursion turns out to be something of an adventure.
