Celebrating its 50th Anniversary in GP racing, Yamaha will quickly become the center of spectating at the Red Bull US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca due to the presence of its red and white livery and legendary riders.

Joining the celebration around Laguna Seca will Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies and Tech3’s Colin Edwards and Cal Crutchlow. These current MotoGP pilots will also be joined by living GP legends Kenny Roberts Sr, Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey and Kel Carruthers.

Before the riders headed to Laguna Seca today (Friday), they were at Yamaha US headquarters in California, shooting various pics and a "tongue in cheek" video that is set to be released this weekend.

The above pictures of Jorge Lorenzo’s Yamaha YZR-M1 and the Yamaha MotoGP riders were shot at Yamaha HQ, and make for some great wallpaper for Yamaha MotoGP fans.

Yamaha says Kenny Roberts Sr will take to the track today on a one-off YZF R1 sporting the 50th Anniversary red and white color scheme. Saturday will see him repeat his track tour, but this time on the YZR-M1 before his grand finale on Sunday on track with his 1979 500cc GP bike.
