2027 Benda Rock 707 First Look: Auto-clutch V-twin Cruiser

Benda is making a strong push into the mid-size cruiser marketplace with innovative motorcycles. The 2027 Benda Rock 707 is no exception. The big news is the deployment of the Benda Electronic Clutch MK-II, which appears to operate the same way the new Honda E-Clutch does.

2027 Benda Rock 707 First Look: Automatic Clutch

The Benda Electronic Clutch MK-II uses the standard wet multiplate clutch, with plates squeezed by springs to link engine power to the six-speed transmission. Sensors detect your intent to change gears by monitoring the foot-shift lever, throttle position, and speed. The ECU then commands the electric actuator to disengage and re-engage the clutch automatically and smoothly during gear changes. As a result, you rarely need to pull the clutch lever while riding.

Starting from a stop gets assisted engagement to help avoid stalls. You can switch to full manual mode anytime, using the lever traditionally for complete control. This reduces hand fatigue on long rides or in traffic while preserving rider involvement and manual gear selection.

The Benda Electronic Clutch MK-II allows new riders the ability to learn gear shifting independently of clutch operation. Additionally, the rider can manually engage the slipper-and-assist clutch when ready.

The rest of the details on the 2027 Benda Rock 707 are sketchy. It’s powered by a moderately oversquare, liquid-cooled V-twin that puts out 73 horsepower when spun up to 9000 rpm. The torque peak of 50 lb-ft hits at 6500 rpm. Power is delivered to the rear wheel via a belt. Traction control and ABS are standard.

Also noteworthy is the pair of electronically adjustable air shocks. The seat height is adjustable from 27.2 to 28.3 inches, but that’s not all. According to Benda, the system “automatically adjusts seat height based on rider weight and adapts suspension firmness according to road conditions.” That sounds like a semi-active adjustable suspension that uses air pressure rather than oil damping for adjustments. Again, we’re looking at a 2027 model, so more detailed information will be forthcoming. The Rock 707 is not yet on Benda’s website.

A rear plate behind the solo seat does triple duty. It can be used as a luggage rack, a mount for a top box, or a base for a passenger seat.

The round TFT dash is 3.6 inches in diameter and lights up with an intensity that matches the brightest smartphone screens. Over-the-air software updates keep the dash current. The Rock 707 has powered USB-A and USB-C ports.

The 2027 Benda Rock 707 will be available in three colors — Knight Black, Sandy Gray, and Windy White — each with its own graphics. We don’t have a list price for the bike yet, though we do know it is scheduled to hit European markets in the second half of 2026.
