Rough Crafts of Taipei, Taiwan, led by Winston Yeh since 2011, has been partnering with Royal Enfield for striking custom builds since the Continental GT 650-based Midas Royale in 2019. The collaboration expands with the limited edition 2026 Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts Drop.
Rough Crafts specializes in high-end, one-off bespoke motorcycles with a signature style that blends modern engineering, premium aftermarket components, and exposed custom carbon fiber bodywork for an ultra-premium, aggressive aesthetic.
Yeh, a former graphic designer turned fabricator, draws inspiration from Taipei’s artisan metalworkers and craftsmen, creating builds that emphasize meticulous detail and no-expense-spared execution.
The paint of the Drop stands out with a hand-cast, solid brass Rough Crafts tank badge, surrounded by gloss jet black, matt stealth black, and grey, with authentic gold leaf pinstriping that extends to the fenders and side covers. Even the clutch master cylinder gets gold branding.
Other features include a quilted leather seat, gold fork tube, contrast-cut aluminum rims, and bar-end mirrors.
The Drop is inspired by Rough Crafts’ Caliber Royale custom build, which shadows the Drop in this story’s opening photograph.
Royal Enfield’s 648cc retro-styled air-cooled SOHC twin powers the Drop, as it does on the standard Shotgun 650. Suspension is by Showa, and Ceat Zoom Cruz tires are mounted on the 18-/17-inch wheelset.
