Cycle Gear, a motorcycle parts and apparel retail chain with over 100 stores across America and founded in 1974, debuted the latest riding apparel from Sedici, a European brand with a focus on performance on the street and track, as well as off-road and ADV. Let’s take a look at our choice for the Top 5 new items from Sedici.

1. Sedici Viaggo ADV Series Jacket

Fully functional for the active adventure motorcycle rider, the Sidici Viaggo ADV Series jacket has a wide variety of features for a successful ride on- and off-road. Using ADV-DualCore 500 as a shell with Tuff-Pro panels to resist abrasion, the Viaggo is fully waterproof and breathable thanks to a DrySure lining. Plenty of vents make the Viaggo viable in a wide variety of temperatures, while the built-in hydration system keeps you safe on hot days. Other safety features include a chest guard system and CE-Approved armor in the shoulders and elbows (a foam panel protects your back). A removable satin liner keeps you warm in the cold, and reflective strips make you visible when the sun sets. As you would expect, there are also matching pants from Sedici. Sizes: Men’s S-XXXXXL. Colors: Stone/Black and Stone/Blue. Sedici Viaggo ADV Series Jacket MSRP: $300.

2. Sedici Francesca Women’s Leather Jacket

For women street riders, Sedici offers the stylish Francesca Women’s Leather jacket. While a foam pad is used to nominally protect the back (upgradable, of course), the shoulders and elbows have CE-approved armor, and the full-grain semi-aniline leather keeps abrasion of sensitive ladies’ skin at bay. The leather is perforated on the sleeves to help flow air and prevent persperation, while the quilted shoulders and upper arm areas give the Francesa jacket a retro vibe. There are tab adjustments on the hip for a personalized fit, and the semi-fitted shape is both functional and flattering. The interior satin-quilted waistcoat liner is removable, and hand-warmer pockets are ideal off the motorcycle in cool temperatures. Sizes: Women’s US XS-XXXL. Color: Black. Sedici Francesca Women’s Leather Jacket MSRP: $300

Striking just the right balance between off-road and street, the Sedici Maximo Adventure Boot looks like it will work for authentic off-road ADV riders, as well as touring ADV fans who want a boot that is sturdy, comfortable, and looks the part. The Sedici Maximo boot uses full-grain leather for the upper, with a Hipora lining that is breathable and 100-percent waterproof. The cleated rubber sole is oil-resistant for safety, and has a heel for comfort when walking. There are two adjustable buckles for a proper fit, along with a hook-and-loop calf closure. A rubber protector helps prevent wear on your shifting toe, and a molded thermo-set heel wraps the back of your food in comfortable protection. Stretch panels assist in easy use of the footbrake and gear-change lever. Sizes: Men’s US 8-13. Color: Black. Sedici Maximo Adventure Boots MSRP: $150.

4. Sedici Fuori Carbon Helmet

While we were not impressed with the Sedici off-road apparel—some work needs to be done in the styling department, for a start—the Sedici Fuori Carbon helmet definitely got our attention. Bringing carbon fiber with DOT and ECE standards met for under $300 is quite an accomplishment. Though we didn’t have a chance to weigh it, the Sedici Fuori Carbon helmet felt extremely lightweight, as we’d expect from a carbon fiber lid. For those suspicious of carbon fiber helmets, Sedici adds a generous helping of Kevlar to the mix to further protect the rider’s head should that be necesssary. There are non-adjustable vents, though the dual density comfort liner is removable and washable. There are optional cheek and forehead pads for a customized fit. Sedici also makes street and ADV versions of the Fuori Carbon off-road helmet. Sizes: XS-XXL. Graphic: Carbon, Flo. Sedici Fuori Carbon Helmet MSRP: $280 (Carbon) and $300 (Flo graphics, shown).

5. Sedici Ultimo Gloves

While the name is Ultimo, the price of these track-worth gloves is not. The Sedici Ultimo glove uses full-grain leather with perforated panels for cooling and pre-curved fingers for reducing fatigue. The knuckle protection is cantilevered for comfort and flexibility, and stretch leather paneling allow free finger movement. Protection comes via double-Velcro wrist closure, a full leather palm (with double-layer leather on the heel of your hand), plus memory foam padding for other areas of the glove. A double-layer external seam increases durability. Sizes: Men’s S-XXXL. Colorways: Black, White/Black, Red/Black, Blue/Black. Sedici Ultimo Gloves MSRP: $80
