A mainstay of the now-grown small-displacement sport class, the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is as light and maneuverable as you expect.

What might surprise you is the good speed available if you keep the little twin revved up. Acceleration to 80 mph is impressive, and it is zippy and agile as an in-town commuter bike.

For 2016, there are three versions of the Ninja 300–a standard version (under $5k), another with ABS (add $300), and a third (Ninja 300 ABS KRT Edition) with ABS and Kawasaki Racing Team graphics for $5499.
