Akrapovic FZ-07 Exhaust Released for Yamaha’s Midweight Naked

Akrapovic FZ-07 Exhaust

Akrapovic has released a new road exhaust in its Racing Line collection for the Yamaha FZ-07 / MT-07, the bike from that famous marque’s stable that has been labelled as coming from the “Dark Side of Japan.”

This beautifully crafted Titanium outer-sleeve exhaust, with Stainless Steel headers, adds a new dimension to the bike’s already demanding presence and will create an even bigger step-up in performance as the Racing Line range offers a great balance between price and optimum performance.

The Yamaha FZ-07 / MT-07 – like its big brother the FZ-09 MT-09 – is a machine focused on riding emotions and desires. A bike derived from the darker and more subterranean world of Japanese culture can now be given an even sharper and cooler image with the addition of Akrapovic’s latest system.

The Akrapovic Racing Line (Titanium) looks completely at home on the FZ-07 / MT-07, its Titanium outer-sleeve combines perfectly with the bike’s naked raw aggression, but it’s not all about style, because the Racing Line also has the substance to back up its striking looks. Coming in at 1.6kg (3.6lb) lighter than the stock exhaust, the weight saving adds to the performance stakes which show a marked increase in power of 2.0kW at 9,250 rpm and a rise of 3.2Nm (2.4lb-ft) of torque at 5,600 rpm.

Not only does the Akrapovic Racing Line exhaust have the looks and performance, it also thrills the auditory senses with the unmistakable pure racing sound that is characteristic of every Akrapovič system.

The Akrapovic Racing Line is a significant step in the exhaust system tuning process, its plug-and-play design means that no remapping or other parts are needed and it can be fitted in approximately 90-minutes with an easy-to-use manual. It comes complete with EC and ECE type approval, plus superb back-up support from Akrapovic through its dealer network.

The new Akrapovic Racing Line (Titanium) is the latest in the Slovenian company’s range of performance exhausts and will look great, sound tremendous, improve power output and effect a weight saving to the Yamaha MT-07 / FZ-07, making a machine from the “Dark Side” just that little bit lighter.
