Earlier this week, BMW announced the K1300S Motorsport.
Donning special BMW Motorsport colors, the special-edition K1300S arrives with a host of upgrades over the standard model, including an Akrapovic exhaust, , a tinted windscreen, and HP wheels and footrests.
Everything else is typical of BMW’s sport tourer – with an emphasis on sport.
The K1300S Motorsport arrives with the 1293cc 16-valve inline four, which produces 175 horsepower at 9,250 rpm and 103 ft/lb of torque at 8,250 rpm. This engine allows the sport tourer, which should weight around 500 lbs., to reach a top speed of 165 mph.
As for suspension, the K1300S Motorsport arrives with a Duolever setup up front, and a Paralever setup out back. Braking duties are handled by dual 320mm discs up front, and a single 265mm disc out back. And like all other BMW motorcycles, the K1300S Motorsport arrives with ABS as standard equipment.
