2014 Lead Belt AMA National Enduro Series
Charlie Mullins’ reign in the 2014 AMA National Enduro Series continued this past weekend at the Lead Belt Enduro in Park Hills, Missouri.
The Factory FMF/KTM pilot dominated the round, taking the victory at the 65-mile race by almost 2 minutes ahead of AirGroup Racing Husqvarna’s Nick Fahringer and Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Andrew DeLong, respectively.
Mullins won the test in the opening section, and replicated the performance on the second-test section. He encountered some issues in the third test, and finished fifth. And in the fourth test, he had a rear-brake issue, and finished fifth again.
The KTM pilot returned to his winning ways for the final-two tests, eventually taking the victory by nearly two minutes.
“I’m really excited with how I am riding at the National Enduros this year,” stated Mullins. “The course was pretty rocky today but I enjoyed it and I am glad to gain another win.”
With four of 10 rounds completed in the 2014, Mullins holds a 40-point over Fahringer. The series now heads to Arrington, Va., June 1.
