There is only one true way to test prototype motorcycle parts – bring them on a journey.

This is exactly what’s happening with Touratech’s prototype parts for the redesigned 2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000. Touratech has equipped two V-Strom 1000s that will go on a more than 30,000-mile journey through 18 countries for the 2AR charity ride that benefits Children of Latin America.

During 2AR (2 Auf Reisenm which translates from German to “Two people on one journey,”) the German couple Claudia and Mirko Nagler will pilot the Touratech-equipped V-Strom 1000s through North, Central and South America.

As they help raise charity money, they will also report back to the Touratech design team in Germany, giving them feedback on how well the parts are working.

This input will help Touratech finalizes all prototypes. The parts will soon be in production and available worldwide for the 2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000.
