Francisco “Chaleco” Lopez KTM Video

Ahead of the 2013 Dakar Rally, Francisco “Chaleco” Lopez would sign as a privateer to pilot a KTM 450 Rally.

With support from Tamarugal XC Rally Team, Lopez would put in a dominating performance, winning five stages in 2013 Dakar, and finishing third overall behind factory KTM riders Ruben Faria (second) and Cyril Despres.

This March, KTM signed Lopez to the Red Bull KTM Factory Team, and he will ride for the “Ready to Race” team at the upcoming 2014 Dakar Rally.

While practicing for the Dakar, Red Bull filmed Lopez as the Chilean stunted his KTM 450 Rally through a South American desert.
