Suzuki’s Short Film Following 13th FIM Endurance Title

2013 Suzuki Endurance Racing Team

When the 2013 FIM World Endurance Championship wrapped up two weeks ago, Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) earned its 13th title.

This year’s team competing on the GSX-R1000 were normals Vincent Philippe and Julien Da Costa. Joining them for 2013 was Alex Cudlin, who covered for injured rider Anthony Delhalle.

During the four-race series, SERT took two podiums, including a win, and though the team had some issues during the final round at Le Mans, it secured enough points to take the 2013 WEC title.

Following its win, Suzuki created the movie attached above, which provides fans with an perspective of the series from behind the pits.

Following is SERT’s performance in 2013 WEC:

  • Round 1, Bol D’Or (Magny Cours): 3rd
  • Round 2, Suzuka 8 Hours (Suzuka): 4th
  • Round 3, Oschersleben 8 Hours (Oschersleben): 1st
  • Round 4, 24 Hours of Le Mans: 12th
