Due to improper adhesion, the brake shoe linings may separate from the front and rear brake shoes. If the brake shoe linings separate, the brake performance could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
Yamaha will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front and rear brake shoes, free of charge. The recall, which includes as many as 320 units, is expected to begin in early October 2013. Owners may contact Yamaha at 800-962-7926.
