Ducati Diavel: Corbin ‘Dual Saddle’ Seat

Corbin Releases Dual Saddle for Ducati Diavel

Corbin has released a Dual Sport Saddle designed specifically for the new Ducati Diavel. Designed to fit perfectly to the bike for a custom look and vastly improve the ergonomics of the Diavel, Corbin neutralized the seating posture and did away with the hammock shape to give you excellent support without the pinching feel of the stock seat.

Corbin designed the seating position on the Diavel seat to move the rider back approximately 1.5 inches from the stock seating position. This allows a bit more seating room and still integrates perfectly with the seat cowling.

Seat height is between the stock Ducati seat and the “Tall” seat version, allowing Corbin the ability to neutralize the seating platform. In the nose area, Corbin sculpts the saddle to allow for good ground reach.

Naturally, Corbin set out to design a seat to fit the bike visually as well as improving the quality of your ride. The high density Comfort Cell foam allows a sleek, low profile while providing a firm supportive ride that lasts.

Rider seating is ergonomically shaped to fit the curve of your body and provide better weight distribution and eliminate the “hammock” shape of the stock seat that pinches in all the wrong places. This also helps to eliminate the centralized pressure felt from the stock seat.

Passenger seating area is designed with a neutralized platform to curb sliding forward in the saddle. This gives the passenger good mid-range comfort. Sorry, but the removable passenger backrest isn’t available in this seat model; there’s just nowhere to put the hardware for it safely.

On the other hand, Corbin did integrate hardware to use the Ducati seat cowling. Just bolt it onto the Corbin seat as you would with the stock seat for a fast, solo look.

Notice how close the Corbin saddle fits to the tank and chassis… this kind of fit comes only from a Corbin saddle and our unique Fibertech basepan. Corbin’s rigid base material not only fits perfect to the bike, but provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed foam shape. Corbin’s ergonomic shaping creates a visually pleasing look on the motorcycle and adds to the custom appeal.

Corbin uses genuine leather seating in all saddle models because it breathes with the rider’s body and will conform along with the foam shape during break in. This provides an added bit of luxury on those long rides. In the side panels, Corbin uses a coordinating vinyl material that will support the foam shape and keep the saddle looking sharp longer.

Be sure to care for the leather saddle properly with a quality conditioner like Corbin’s Saddle Cream. This will help the leather to remain supple and weather resistant while it matures gracefully. Mounts to the motorcycle like the stock seat…Functions on key lock system with brackets pre-installed on saddle.
