Eric Church To Play Sturgis Buffalo Chip

2012 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

The Sturgis Buffalo Chip welcomes one of the hottest artists in today’s cross over music, Eric Church, to its 2012 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally concert line up on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012.

The Grammy Nominated Eric Church brings thrilling outlaw sound, an amazing show and a string of hits to the Buffalo Chip main stage as part of the Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling.

Church joins a spectacular lineup of Sturgis concerts during the motorcycle rally that will include Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Zac Brown Band, Loverboy, Sugarland, Boston, and many more.

Passes are available now for Eric Church and other concerts at the legendry Sturgis Buffalo Chip at buffalochip.com.

Eric Church, a North Carolina native, began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 13. By his senior year of high school, he was a regular on the local bar scene. Those early experiences helped mold his now famous rebel edge, honky-tonk sound. Since the release of his first album, Sinners Like Me in 2006, Church has led his pack with invigorating live shows, and hard-boiled music with attitude for the smoky barrooms of the American south.

The Buffalo Chip crowd can expect Church to play his number one hits like "Drink In My Hand," "Hungover and Hard Up," "Springsteen," "Like Jesus Does" and "Homeboy" on Aug, 8, 2012 during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Eric Church’s Grammy nomination album Chief has also received "top album" accolades from Rolling Stone, SPIN, iTunes, and the Los Angeles Times. Chief also earned turned Gold in only six weeks, helping to launch fan-favorite party anthem "Drink in My Hand" to No. 1 on the country radio charts.

Rod Woodruff (President of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip) says: "It is a long tradition at the Buffalo Chip to introduce current chart topping acts to the Sturgis rally crowd.

"Eric Church’s party spirit and outlaw sound is a perfect fit for the Buffalo Chip crowd. We are very excited to welcome a Grammy nominee and first time Sturgis rally goer to the Chip. We look forward to Eric bringing down the house with his exciting show and amazing music."

The Legendary Buffalo Chip has been offering its guests the true Sturgis experience for more than 30 years with its premium camping resort and world class entertainment.
