Moto Guzzi California 1400

At the recent Piaggio Group Americas Dealer Convention in Miami, the executive team made two huge announcements – the opening of an Advanced Design Center in Padadena, Calif., and the release of a new Moto Guzzi – the California 1400.

During the convention, Marco Lambri, Director of Piaggio Group Style Center, and Miguel Galluzzi, Vice President of Design, discussed the Moto Guzzi California and the opening of the new center in the video attached above.

Moto Guzzi California 1400 will be new to the cruiser line, and will be launched this fall. Stay clicked to UltimateMotorCycling.com for further details of the California 1400 as they become available.

As for the Piaggio Group Advanced Design Center, it will be headed by Miguel Galluzzi, a designer born in Argentina and raised in the USA, whose projects in Italy include some of the most celebrated motorcycles of the last 20 years: the Ducati Monster, the Cagiva Raptor, the Aprilia RSV4, winner of the 2010 Superbike World Championship, and the brand new Moto Guzzi California 1400, due to be launched on the market in the fall of 2012.

The California center will work closely with the Piaggio Group Style Center headed by Marco Lambri, and the Group R&D centers in Italy, China, India and Vietnam.
