2012 AMA Supercross Wallpaper

After a not-so good start at St. Louis Supercross in Edward Jones Dome Saturday evening, Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey fought his way to a second-place finish.

The SX-F 450 rider finished behind the reigning Supercross Champion, Ryan Villopto, and now trails the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider by 13 points after nine of 17 rounds. Taking the final podium position at St. Louis SX was Muscle Milk Honda’s Justin Brayton.

During the start of the main, Dungey got out of the gate horribly, getting pushed back to mid-pack. But by the second turn, he was already into fifth.

He then began matching the lap times of the race leader, Villopto, and picking off Supercross riders one-by-one before taking second from Brayton on lap 13. Dungey attempted to catch Villopoto, but had to settle for second.

Ryan Dungey (Red Bull KTM SX-F 450) says: “It feels really great to finish strong tonight. I wish I could have had a better start but I am very satisfied with my performance and I’m glad that I can keep my Red Bull KTM Team in the championship hunt.”
