While growing up in Owensboro, Kentucky, Nicky Hayden likely heard the “boys will be boys” saying over and over, whether undertaking a mischievous event or simply piloting a motorcycle around some local track.

The same could be said about Valentino Rossi as the nine-time World Champion was growing up in Italy.

And after viewing this video of the Ducati Team MotoGP Duo playing in the snow during the Wrooom event at Madonna di Campiglio last week, the first thought that comes to mind is “boys will be boys.”

Attached above is a comical short courtesy of Ducati, showing Hayden and Rossi taking a break from the Wrooom spotlight and simply having some fun in the snow. Besides snowboarding, the two also pilot a Ducati sporting studded tires through some snow.

At the end of the Wrooom event, the traditional ice racers occurred. Due to recovering from a training injury, Hayden wasn’t able to participate. But his teammate Rossi proved himself before some serious four-wheel maniacs.

VR46 won the Kart race, finishing ahead of Formula 1 Ferrari stars such as Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Giancarlo Fisichella and Marc Gene. In the Fiat 500 race, Rossi finished second behind Massa and ahead of Alonso.

The next big event for the Ducati MotoGP team of Rossi and Hayden will be the first test of 2012 at Sepang Jan. 31 through Feb. 2.
