2012 AMA Supercross

This Saturday in Anaheim, a new chapter of the AMA Supercross begins for the 2010 champion Ryan Dungey.

For the first time since turning pro in 2006, Dungey will be on a motocross machine other than a Suzuki. For 2012, Dungey his rejoined his former team manager and mentor Roger DeCoster on the Red Bull KTM team.

The Belle Plaine, Minn., SX champion will pilot the KTM SX-F 450 as he looks to earn another title. Dungey and the KTM debuted at the inaugural Million-Dollar Monster Energy Cup in October, in which he took third in the first main, and then followed it up with a pair of seconds in the second and third races.

Overall, Dungey finished second behind the Monster Energy Cup’s winner, the 2011 AMA Supercross/Motocross champion, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto.

Attached above is a video of Dungey as he discusses the upcoming AMA Supercross Championship, which gets underway Saturday in Angel Stadium, Anaheim, Calif.
