Want a point-of-view look at what it’s like to pilot a bone-stock 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14R to a 10:18 ET in the quarter mile?
Watch the POV video above as recorded on a Go Pro camera by Ultimate MotorCycling’s President, Arthur Coldwells.
Last week, Coldwells was at the 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14R press launch, which took place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. After some quick lessons from AMA Drag Racing Champion Rickey Gadson, Coldwells was let loose on the quarter-mile drag strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Launching the hypersport at 3500 rpm, Coldwells was able to achieve a quarter-mile time of 10:18 on the Kawasaki, which was totally revamped for 2012.

Benda motorcycles are beginning to make a ripple on US shores with four intriguing and competitive models, courtesy of its partnership with Keeway Group. We were impressed with the Napoleonbob 500 and have now gotten our gloves on the persuasive, entry-level 2026 Benda Chinchilla 300, with its modest MSRP of $4999. It would be difficult to design a more welcoming entry-level cruiser than this easy-handling, visually appealing boulevard bobber. Editor Don Williams and Associate Editor Kelly Callan discuss the Benda Chinchilla 300 and how it actually rode for them.
