KTM’s Musquin to Washougal Motocross

2011 KTM Motocross

After missing the last four rounds of the 2011 AMA Motocross Championship due to injury, Marvin Musquin had enough recovery time to return to the series aboard his Red Bull KTM Factory SX-F 350 at the Washougal National, July 23.

The Frenchman, who dealt with a torn ACL before breaking three fingers and a thumb at Round 2 in Freestone, will spend additional time training before Washougal, so he won’t race at this weekend’s Spring Creek Motocross National.

While recovering from his hand injury, Musquin was able to continue his fitness training at the gym.

Marvin Musquin (KTM SX-F 350 Motocross) says: "Luckily, I was able to continue work-outs at the gym which has helped me maintain my endurance over the past few weeks. I feel just as fast as I was in I got hurt, I just need to work on strengthening my hand now.

"My hand is getting stronger with each ride and I feel confident that I should be able to hold on for an entire moto by the time Washougal comes around. I am so excited to return to the series. I just want to race."

After his wreck at Freestone aboard the KTM SXF350, Musquin underwent surgery. The former FIM MX2 rider was told he had to rest for six weeks before returning to the AMA Motocross scene.
