AMA Superbike: Ulrich to Miss Barber

2011 AMA Superbike

Following his crash at Infineon Raceway, AMA Superbike’s Chris Ulrich will not compete during this weekend’s round in Barber Motorsports Park, Ala.

The M4 Suzuki Superbike competitor suffered two fractured lumbar vertebrae and other injuries during a race two crash at Infineon Raceway approximately 30 days ago.

Ulrich did not receive medical clearance to return to competition in Alabama due to the short amount of time since the incident.

Ulrich hopes to return to action at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course July 8-10; the GSX-R1000 rider is a former race winner at the Lexington, Ohio circuit.

Ulrich is currently 14th in the 2011 AMA SBK Championship with 33 points; his best finish was ninth at Daytona.
