Motorcycle Exhaust
Yoshimura is in the process of leveraging the World Superbike platform to develop a new high-performance motorcycle exhaust system, the Yosh R-11R.
Although in prototype form, Yoshimura is focused on testing and using it in extreme use and the competition of World SBK their chosen proving ground.
Featuring a newly-designed internal structure as well as an ‘organically’ shaped end-cap partially enclosing a dual-exit, the new exhaust systems will be available to the public, in both street bike and road race form, as soon as R&D on the Yoshimura R-11R is complete.
Details on the production version will follow later in the year and full technical specifications, fitment options and sleeve finishes will be announced as soon as they become available.
Suzuki wildcard entry Josh Waters qualified the team’s GSX-R 1000 10th in the season opener of the World Superbike Championship first round at Phillip Island in Australia.
The 22-year-old 2009 Australian Superbike Champion, who finished the recent two-day test with a creditable 12th position, is using the still-in-development R-11R racing exhaust from Yoshimura.
