MotoGP: Ducati to Unveil Rossi Livery

2011 Wrooom

Following tradition, Ducati will present its 2011 MotoGP project at the 21st edition of the Wrooom event at Madonna di Campiglio, a ski resort in Italy, this week.

And of course the biggest crowd will be surrounding nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi, as he will exposed for the first time publicly donning the Ducati colors of his new team.

The Wrooom offers media and fans a first look at the Ducati 2011 team livery, including the powerful MotoGP machines, and the team riders, Rossi and the American Nicky Hayden.

Rossi, Hayden, the Ducati Team, fans and the press will arrive at the ski resort today (Monday). Then on Tuesday, Rossi and Hayden will be interviewed by the press, and will pose for photographs with Ducati MotoGP Team Manager Vittoriano Guareschi before meeting fans.

Then on Wednesday it will be the turn of Claudio Domenicali, boss of Ducati Corse, to answer enquiries about the new GP11 prototype after which the 2011 machine will be unveiled.

Also joining the MotoGP riders during the week will be Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, who will be on hand to present the Italian Formula 1 team’s 2011 car.

The week-long Wrooom event concludes with a ski race and an exhibition event on an iced lake, which involves both MotoGP and Formula 1 stars having some fun competition, such as ice racing.

Rossi is expected to have limited participation in the activities due recovering from the shoulder surgery the 31-year-old Italian underwent after the 2010 MotoGP season commenced.
