Canada to Host IMBBA Sanctioned Shows

Master Bike Builders

The 2011 North American International Motorcycle Super show, held in Toronto Ontario January 7-9, has been sanctioned, and will be judged by the International Master Bike Builders Association’s (IMBBA) Canada Team.

The show will be one of the qualifying venues for the final entrants into the 2012 IMBBA World Cup Competition.

The World of Motorcycles Expo show that will be held in London, Ontario, Feb. 11-13, 2011, and in Kitchener, Ontario, March 19-20, 2011, has announced its partnership with IMBBA.

The IMBBA will be sanctioning and judging the Radical and Pro Built bikes in these two shows.

The top bike from these shows may qualify as the last Canadian entry into the prestigious World Cup Show in Laval Quebec 2012.

IMBBA Canadian Representative Bob McKay has announced the sanctioning of The Great Canadian Bike Rally Motorcycle show being held in Merritt, BC, July 14-17, 2011.

This will be the first IMBBA-sanctioned and judged show in Western Canada.

Jeff Starke (IMBBA’s International President) says: "IMBBA is extremely proud of the progress made by our Canadian representative, Bob McKay.

"Bob, in a very short time has pulled Canada together and set an example for other counties to follow. Canada’s IMBBA-certified judges will be busy next year judging most of Canada’s top custom bike shows."

Canada is the first to fulfill the requirements for certified motorcycle bike judges by completing the IMBBA Judges Course and passing the IMBBA judges test.

These judges will receive the required training and mentoring from Master Judges before becoming certified.

According to an IMBBA spokesman, "Builders receive professional advice and input on how their bikes can be built and score higher points.

"This is helping the builder bring the quality to an even higher level, and for the first time, with a standard, rather than, the good old boys clubs or the political machine. In the opinion of numerous industry professionals within IMBBA and others considering IMBBA, the program is off to a great start in Canada!"
