Packing Up a MotoGP Garage | Suzuki Video

After the MotoGP race is over, fans began dissipating, eagerly awaiting the next World Championship race.

But though the race is over, MotoGP teams have much work to complete before heading to the road, including packing up the monstrous garage and pit areas.

Here’s an inside look into the process of packing away the Rizla Suzuki garage area, shown in this YouTube video of photo sequences by Troy Lee Designs. This series of photos is from the 2010 MotoGP Championship, when the race team consisted of Loris Capriossi and Alvaro Bautista.

The whole process can take anything up to three-and-a-half-hours in real-time – especially heading off to an intercontinental MotoGP race when nearly 15 tons of parts and equipment are loaded into nearly 60 flight cases – but due to some clever editing by Troy Lee Designs’ photographer Alex Boyce, you can see behind the scenes with exclusive footage in just over a minute.

For 2011, the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP team will only field one rider, Alvaro Bautista; former teammate Capirossi joined the satellite Pramac Ducati team with the Frenchman Randy de Puniet.
