Aprilia Alitalia
In Europe, Aprilia’s new 2011 RS 50 motorcycle and sporty SR 50 scooter, will feature the tri-color livery of the Alitalia RSV4 World Superbike race team that scored a championship this year with Max Biaggi at the handlebars.
It’s the prefect look for budding young motorcycle riders, who dream of swinging a leg over an Alitalia RSV4 World SBK Replica.
Originally launched in 1992, the debut version of the Aprilia SR 50 is described by Aprilia as “being the first scooter with the character of a supersports bike.”
Aprilia further asserts that the SR 50 is the world’s first sports scooter, first racing replica scooter, first scooter with a liquid-cooled engine, first scooter with dual disc brakes and first 50 cc with electronic fuel injection.
Currently available in the Alitalia “R” and “R Factory” versions, the Aprilia SR 50 has sophisticated technology, including the latest generation 50cc two-stroke purejet engine.
Premium suspension components offer superbly effective and progressive damping action, while the 13″ wheels feature ultra low profile tires for enhanced sporting qualities.
The 2011 Aprilia RS 50 is a sport bike for eager young riders, featuring the technology of the marque’s two-stroke machines dominating the junior classes of the MotoGP championship.
Aprilia RS 50 offers younger riders access to high-level technological features: aluminum frame and swingarm, lightweight wheels with split spokes, radial front brake caliper, two-stroke engine, and analog/digital instrumentation.
The newly launched styling shows off aggressive, purposeful graphics dedicated to Max Biaggi and his RSV-4 motorcycle, which bears the Aprilia name in the World SBK world championship.
