Milan Motorcycle Show

The Nov. 2 opening day of EICMA 2010 will host new motorcycles as well as protagonists of the sport including the new minister, Paolo Romani, who will represent Italy during the opening day of the show with two motorcycle World Champions.

Motorcycle racers appearing at the Milan motorcycle show: 2010 MotoGP Champ Jorge Lorenzo and Aprilia Superbike Champion Max Biaggi will be the motorcycle rider highlights of a 68th edition that cannot wait to start.

Aprilia is rumored to present the mighty new 2011 Tuono V4. That is the big one. Also an all new 125cc motorcycle with the RSV4 fairing/styling. And it features the all new 4-stroke engine. For Aprilia that marks the official death of the 2-stroke engine, accept for the 50cc versions.

When it comes to the future further on, depending on the APRC success (which is inevitable) Aprilia will feed the whole APRC technology package down to the RSV4 R and the APRC motorcycle model and might be the one and only future Factory model.

The APRC technology has already reached the 2011 Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 in a thinned out format. In reality the system is ready for the whole thing, but features has been removed to ensure exclusivity for the Factory APRC SE.

From what I’ve experienced today the RSV4 Factory APRC ECU must be a whole lot more powerful and faster, too.

Moto Guzzi might launch a new version of the Stelvio NTX. Further to this, as you will know, Piaggio have made huge investments into Moto Guzzi and the Mandello del Lario factory has been torn down and a new one replaces the old on the same site.

Along with the completion of this factory Moto Guzzi will have major new motorcycle models next year so 2012 will be a big Guzzi year.

On Nov. 6, Max Biaggi, the first Italian World Champion in the Superbike history, will visit the Suomy stand and meet all the motorcycle racing fans that supported him in clinching 2010 title with Aprilia.

This is just a little taste of what is going to happen at the EICMA show from Tuesday, Nov. 2. During the weekend, MotoGP, Moto2 and 125 GP live coverage of the Estoril round will be available for all the motorcycle racing fans.
