Youngest FMX Back-Flip
He is just 12 years old and is considered the greatest talent in the German Freestyle Motocross Sport: Luc Ackermann, the younger brother of the two-time German FMX Champion Hannes Ackermann (2007, 2008).
Luc recently ended up in fourth place at the Fight Club Series. Now the youngest German FMX sportsman is being supported by art’otels.
Luc will jump with a specially designed “art’bike” at his guest appearance as a show jumper at the Suzuki NIGHT of the JUMPs in Cologne (tonight, Oct. 9) and the Freestyle Show at the InterMOT Fair.
The motorcycle bears the water lily motif by the Korean Baselitz pupil SEO, who decorates the art’otel cologne with her originals.
Luc, who hails from Mühlhausen in Thüringen, started with Motocross and his first attempts at freestyle in 2005. Just one year later he brought off his first backflip on the minibike.
In 2009 he went with the German Flight Club Series and created a sensation in the German FMX scene with a sixth place in the overall evaluation, which he was able to top this year with fourth place.
At the Suzuki NIGHT of the JUMPs / FIM Freestyle MX World Championships in Cologne, Luc Ackermann will attempt to go down in Freestyle history. With the art’bike, he will try the youngest backflip of all time.
If he lands on his bike after a complete rotation, he will be the youngest FMX athlete, at twelve years of age, who has ever completed this trick on the motorcycle.
