October 2010

The 2011 motorcycles are in force in the October 2010 issue of Ultimate MotorCycling.

Tests of 2011 models include the spunky Ducati Monster 796, Harley-Davidson’s exclusive CVO Road Glide Ultra, and Kawasaki’s quick and dirty KX250F motocrosser (as ridden by Christophe Pourcel, Dean Wilson and others).

Going back in time, Mike Schulte takes a ride on Steve McQueen’s Indian Scout through McQueen’s old stomping grounds.

Back to the present, we investigate NCR’s incredible new Ducati Desmosedici-powered Millona 16. A bit more from Italy is on tap, including a look at the explosive MV Agusta Brutale Cannonball.

Two famously powerful motorcycles square off, as the Triumph Rocket III Roadster and the Star VMax for a battle of supremacy on the street and on the dyno.

Ducatis show up in a couple of unexpected locations–Grand National Championship Flat Track and Pike’s Peak, with Mark Gardiner telling the story.

If you were at the World Superbike round at Miller Motorsports this year, you probably didn’t get quite as much out of the event as you could have.

Neale Bayly recounts the event as a participant in the Ultimate MotorCycling World Superbike Experience.

Other tests include the Honda Shadow RS sport cruiser, the innovative Aprilia Mana GT, security from Lockstraps, custom boots from Wesco, high-end gloves from Held and riding jeans from Cortech. Lifestyle products previewed include desirables from Rogue, Hermès, and Mykita.
