BMW Canada
BMW Group Canada (BMW and MINI brands combined) reported retail sales of 2,732 units in August, a decrease of 0.6% compared to August 2009. On the year, BMW Group Canada reported sales of 20,296 units, representing an increase of 7.0% over the same period last year.
BMW Brand: BMW achieved 2,342 retails in August, up 2.2% from August 2009. Year-to-date BMW has reported sales of 17,413 units, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year.
BMW Pre-owned: BMW pre-owned reported 1,142 retails in August, an increase of 25.5% compared to August 2009. BMW Certified Series accounted for 891 of the BMW pre-owned sales in August. Year-to-date BMW pre-owned retails were up 17.0% to 8,350 units versus the same period last year.
MINI Brand: MINI reported 390 units sold in the month of August, a decrease of 14.7% from August 2009. Year-to-date, MINI has reported 2,883 retails, a slight decrease of 0.2% (or 5 units less) over the same period last year.
MINI Pre-owned: MINI pre-owned reported sales of 157 units in August, an increase of 175.4% compared to August 2009. Of these 157 sales, 97 units were MINI NEXT (MINI’s certified pre-owned program) vehicles. Year-to-date MINI pre-owned sales have increased 88.6% per cent over 2009 to 988 units.
BMW Motorrad: BMW Motorcycles achieves 3rd consecutive record month. BMW Motorrad Canada set an all time record for the month of August with 185 retails, an increase of 19.4% over the same period in 2009. BMW Motorcycles year-to-date retails of 1,620 units represent an increase of 4.9% over last year.
