The Rockstar Makita Suzuki team has been hard at work during the break in the AMA Pro Motocross series, and Ryan Dungey is eager to keep his successful streak alive at Unadilla this weekend.
Ryan Dungey says: “I’m really looking forward to Unadilla and the rest of the outdoor season. I think we’re in a good position to finish strong and wrap up a pretty good rookie season.”
Dungey has been on a roll this season, using the power of his 2010 fuel-injected Suzuki RM-Z450 motorcycle to win seven races out of eight so far this year, and has built an enormous 95-point lead over the next closest competitor.
His seven consecutive wins put him just two overall victories away from tying former Suzuki racer Ricky Carmichael’s record for most wins during a rookie season. Dungey has showed no signs of slowing down, and is in a prime position to finish the season on a high note.
Ryan’s teammate Matt Moss will also be racing at the Unadilla National. Moss has been battling injuries throughout the season, but with the break from racing giving him much needed time to heal, he is sure to be in top form at the upcoming race.
MX1 GP racer Clement Desalle will be making a guest appearance at Unadilla aboard a 2010 Suzuki RM-Z450 running number 463. The Belgian racer is currently second in the MX1 points, and will be stopping to race at Unadilla on his way to Brazil for the MX1 race there.
The Unadilla National will be broadcast live on NBC on Saturday at 3 p.m. EST, with the 250 class being broadcast on Sunday at 4 p.m. EST.
